Rainbow Universe: A Handwritten Font for Eye-Catching Campaigns

I was in the middle of finalizing a product launch campaign when I hit a roadblock. The visuals were cohesive, the message clear, but something felt off. The text wasn’t standing out enough. That’s when I decided to switch up the font. I landed on Rainbow Universe, a handwritten script from Script Amp that brought a fresh, personal touch to my designs.

Rainbow Universe is more than just a font—it's a mood. It has a soft, flowing personality with a hand-drawn feel that makes it perfect for anything that needs a warm, approachable tone. Think wedding invitations, thank you cards, or even branded quotes. Its gentle curves and organic look give any design an inviting energy that feels both modern and timeless.

Using Rainbow Universe in Real Campaigns

I started by applying it to my main launch graphic. The headline was now more expressive, and the call-to-action felt like a personal invitation rather than a generic push. I noticed how well it paired with clean sans serif fonts for body text, creating a nice balance between elegance and readability.

Next, I used Rainbow Universe in a series of Instagram posts for the campaign. Each post had a different visual theme—some focused on lifestyle, others on product benefits—but the font remained consistent. This helped maintain brand recognition across the feed, making the campaign feel unified even as the content varied.

For YouTube thumbnails, I tested the font on several variations. It worked best when used sparingly, mostly for short headlines or taglines. The softness of the script didn’t clash with bright background colors, which was important since these thumbnails needed to stand out in a fast-scrolling feed.

On Pinterest, I created a few pins using Rainbow Universe for decorative titles and quote graphics. The handwritten style blended beautifully with the platform’s aesthetic, and I saw more engagement from users who appreciated the personal touch.

Readability and Design Best Practices

One thing I learned early on was to be mindful of where I used Rainbow Universe. It works best for short, impactful phrases rather than long paragraphs. On mobile screens, I made sure to keep the text size large enough so that the flow of the script didn’t get lost in small previews.

I also experimented with different backgrounds. While it looked amazing on light tones, I found that using it on dark backgrounds required some subtle adjustments—like adding a slight outline or adjusting contrast—to ensure the text remained legible.

Font pairing was another key element. I paired Rainbow Universe with a clean sans serif font like Montserrat for body copy. This combination gave the design a professional yet friendly vibe that resonated well with my target audience.

Practical Uses for Rainbow Universe

Rainbow Universe isn’t limited to social media. I used it in email banners for the same campaign, and it helped elevate the subject lines, making them feel more personal. In digital ads, I applied it to headlines for product teasers, and it added a sense of urgency and charm that traditional fonts couldn’t match.

It also worked well in branded templates for client campaigns. Whether it was for a webinar promotion or a course launch, the font brought a unique character that stood out in a sea of generic marketing materials.

When designing landing pages, I used it sparingly for display text and headers. It didn’t overpower the content but instead guided the reader’s eye naturally through the page, improving overall user experience.

Choosing the Right Typography for Your Message

Selecting the right font can change the entire perception of your message. Rainbow Universe communicates warmth, creativity, and approachability—perfect for brands aiming to connect on a more personal level. It’s ideal for short headlines, callouts, logo-style text, and decorative titles, but not for dense blocks of text.

Before using it in any commercial project, I checked the included styles, alternates, ligatures, weights, and file formats. The multilingual support was a bonus, especially when working with international audiences. And since it comes with a commercial license, I knew I could confidently use it in ads, templates, merchandise, and other branded content without any legal issues.

Typography plays a huge role in design, and choosing Rainbow Universe was one of the best decisions I made for this campaign. It helped reinforce the brand’s personality while keeping the message clear and engaging. If you're looking for a font that brings emotion and clarity to your visuals, give Rainbow Universe a try. You might just find it becomes a staple in your creative toolkit.
